EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” continues series of seminars “Issues of Organization of Activity of a Prosecutor as a Specially Authorized Actor in Counteraction to Corruption, and Application of Anticorruption Law”.
On 12 February, the seminar was organized in the Prosecution Office of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The participants of the seminar discussed issues related to the work of prosecutors aimed to fight corruption and the anticorruption legislation.
The following seminar was held in the Prosecution Office of Lviv Oblast. Apart from the local prosecutors, the seminar was attended by the representatives of regional prosecutors’ offices of Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Khmelnytsk, Chernivtsy and Ternopil Oblasts, as well as the prosecutors of the Military Prosecution of the Western Region, judges, representatives of the regional fiscal service, and legal scholars.
In the course of two seminars, Loic Guerin, Key Expert of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”, spoke about anticorruption practices in the EU Member States.
In February-March 2016, the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” has supported five seminars on implementation of anticorruption legislation for local and regional prosecutors in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv. More than 200 regional and local prosecutors are participating in the seminars.
