On 14 March 2016, the training session for new leadership of local Public Prosecutors’ Offices PPOs) was launched at the National Academy of Prosecutors of Ukraine. Training has been organized be the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine in cooperation with the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”, CoE Project “Continued Support to the Criminal Justice”, EUAM and Criminal Justice Reform Program (OPDAT, US Embassy in Ukraine).
Foreign and national experts, practitioners and academics will intensively train more than 600 newly appointed heads and deputy heads of local PPOs. The program will cover management and organization of work planning, staff management and human resource policy, self-governance of prosecutors, functions of PPO, professional ethics and prevention of corruption inside PPO, as well as basics of communication.
Loic Guerin, Key Expert of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”, will give lectures on mechanism for evaluation of prosecutors’ performance which becomes more significant with implementation of the new human resource policy in the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
