The expert mission composed of Reda Moliene, Salvija Kavalne and Živilė Navickaitė-Babkin continues under the aegis of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”. The goal of this mission, which started is to develop unified recommendations for improvement of work of the courts’ staff at the courts of cassation.
First part of the mission took place on 30 March – 04 April, 2016. In the course of those days the EU Project expert Salvija Kavalne examined the structural units of the High Specialized Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases and processed regulatory documents.
The EU experts have examined the staff structure and functions of the High Commercial Court of Ukraine and High Administrative Court of Ukraine. Based on these activities, findings and recommendation will be presented.
Ukrainian counterparts have also identified needs for development of information dissemination tools, improvement of media relations and internal communications among the judicial institutions. The EU Project experts will provide relevant recommendations to the communication departments of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, High Council of Justice of Ukraine, the Council of Judges of Ukraine and State Judicial Administration.
