Objectives:

  • Discuss the status and authorities of the High Council of Justice (HCJ) with respect to the ongoing judicial and constitutional reform process.
  • Introduce newly-appointed members of the HCJ to international and European standards for judicial selection and discipline, including experiences and practices from similar institutions.
  • Identify ways to optimize the operations of the HCJ, including issues regarding strategic planning, automation, and professional development.
  • Prepare recommendations for the further institutional development of the HCJ.
