On 28 March – 07 April, James Sandham and Michael Octigan, the short-term experts of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” conducted a series of trainings at the Bila Tserkva Training Сenter of State Penitentiary Service.
The objective of this training was to prepare the trainers of the Bila Tserkva Training Сenter of State Penitentiary Service on delivering 12-day program for acting probation officers of the Criminal Executive Inspection Service. The mentioned program was designed with the assistance of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”
In the course of the training, the experts focused on the up-to-date interactive learning methods and training tools. They stressed that active involvement of trainees, combination of theory and practice is relevant to improve the learning process.
The next training session is scheduled for May 2016. The EU Project experts will develop a 30-day training program for the newly selected staff of the probation service of Ukraine.
