On May 23-24, Odessa hosted the seminar dedicated to the “Role of the High Council of Justice and the Specialized Courts in the Reform of the Judiciary in Ukraine”, where participants exchanged views on the necessary legislative changes, the establishing cooperation and coordination within the judicial system in Ukraine, the pressing issues of the High Council Justice and High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, including in the context of European experience and international standards. The event was attended by representatives of the judiciary and international experts.

Arturas Driukas, the expert of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reform in Ukraine”, Judge of the Court of Appeal of Lithuania, shared with the participants the European experience in implementation of disciplinary procedures. The EU Project and the Ukrainian Bar Association presented information materials aimed to raise public awareness about the existing disciplinary procedures applicable to judges.
